A NOTE FROM COACH PAULA

A proper nutrition and fitness regimen is crucial for your overall well-being. There is so much information put out as to what might work to help you reach your goals.  We are here to help you cut through all of the confusion and find the right fit for what works for YOU!  Taking the leap to allow someone to guide you through this process of learning and change can be both exciting and overwhelming.  Coaching you to find your freedom with food and exercise that gives YOU results is a privilege we don't take lightly.   We build connections and use our experiences and knowledge to shine a light on what really matters and works for YOU.  We don't believe in eliminating foods without good reason.  We don't believe in exercising for food but rather fueling out bodies for the activities that we enjoy and help make mind and body stronger. Our overall goal is to provide realistic, science based, fad-free nutrition education and coaching.  We truly believe the key to your success is having a plan, breaking down that plan into doable steps each day until habits are formed and analyzing what works best for you using a periodized approach.

"Leveling Up!... that’s exactly what I’ve done with Paula’s guidance and my journey with FitCut Life. I’ve known Paula since 2014. As a personal trainer she’s always inspired me to train hard, eat right, rest and hydrate...to find the balance!   Before FitCut, I thought I was getting that balance. I trained right, ate well and took recovery days. In addition, I had always gravitated to a carb free lifestyle, which eventually had me avoiding all carbs. I loved (and still do) working out and doing multiple classes in a day- crushing them hard. However often those classes would end up making me hungrier and feeling like I deserved more fuel but I never new the right kind. That said approaching 50 I hit a wall on my weight, I could not break the barrier to hit my goal weight. Even with all of the workouts!  In January of 2020 I completed an inbody scan... at 4’11” my BMI and body fat was in the overweight zone. My goal was to bring both down while increasing muscle mass and to lose 10 pounds. I knew I needed help. When Paula got certified as a nutritionist and started offering nutrition coaching services at FitCut Life, I immediately went knocking on her door. I had been tracking my food on the daily for a long time but starting in July Paula taught me about tracking my macros and educating me on the importance of micronutrients and eating whole nutrient dense foods.   This included eating good carbs!  Speed forward 3 months later, I hit my goal weight, my BMI is now in a healthy range, body fat is down, muscle mass is up and my weight can toggle over a comfortable zone. On the days I "refeed" my body and allow for higher calorie intakes, it’s ok because I know exactly why and how to keep myself on track and I'm maintaining my FitCut body!
What’s different now is I am more in tune with my body and what it needs nutritionally in order to thrive. I am no longer depriving myself and therefore do a lot less binging.​I still love working out and 2020 has brought me eTONE Fitness (check out Coach Paula on there), Peloton and a lot more yoga.  FitCut has helped me learn to plan my week according to my goals with training days off and days that I crush it,  all with my eating and hydration in check to support me.​Working with Paula has been a game changer for me, I can’t recommend her services enough, she truly knows how to work with each client individually."
